Stump (A Family tree)

Pařez může hodně prozradit o svém životě, ale tento také o mé osobní historii, historii mé rodiny, která se stará o naši půdu po generace. Na pařezu stromu, který zasadil můj prapradědeček Matěj Ryček s mým pradědečkem Janem Ryčkem, jsem označila narození své babičky (dcery Jana Ryčka), narození mého otce (syna babičky) a narození mé vlastní. Z tohoto stromu můžeme vyčíst, jak žil on sám, ale také jak žila moje rodina, protože životy farmářů jsou spojeny s úrodou, rostlinami i zvířaty, o která se starají. Vyzdvihuji harmonické propojení života přírody a člověka, který se o ni stará, a soužití lidí a rostlin napříč generacemi.

A tree stump can tell a lot about its life, but this one does also about my personal history, the history of my family, that has been taking care of our land for generations. On the stump of a tree planted by my great-great-grandfather Matěj Ryček with my great-grandfather Jan Ryček. I marked the birth of my grandmother (Jan Ryček's daughter), the birth of my dad (grandmother's son) and the birth of my own. From this tree we can read how it lived its own live, but with that also how my family lived becouse farmers lives are conected to crop, plans and animals they are taking care of. I am pointing out the harmonious connection between the life of nature and the person who takes care of it and to the coexistence of people and plants across generations.
